By Darren Dobson

Cadillac continues its leadership in the luxury SUV segment with the unveiling of the all-electric 2026 Escalade IQL, a bold addition to the iconic Escalade lineup. Building on the success of the full-size luxury SUV that has dominated North America since 2014, the Escalade IQL offers a spacious, tech-rich, and sustainable alternative that caters to the evolving needs of discerning customers worldwide.

A New Chapter for a Legendary Nameplate
John Roth, Vice President of Global Cadillac, emphasizes the significance of this launch: “The Escalade IQL is an important addition to our franchise and portfolio. It embodies Cadillac’s commitment to electrification, offering both internal combustion and all-electric options for our customers.”

Designed to maximize interior space, the Escalade IQL boasts a longer silhouette than its sibling, the Escalade IQ. This extension enhances passenger comfort across all three rows and provides generous cargo capacity—complemented by a secure eTrunk under the hood offering an additional 12.2 cubic feet of storage.

Sophisticated Design Meets Functional Luxury
Exterior styling exudes a commanding presence with a sleek, elongated profile that signals modernity and sophistication. The vehicle’s spacious interior replicates the luxury and technological sophistication found in the IQ model, now elevated further with a range of premium features including an available Executive Second Row package. This package incorporates stowable tray tables, 12.6-inch personal screens, a rear command center, dual wireless charging pads, and seats with massage, heating, and ventilation—each with 14-way power adjustments and headrest speakers.

Passenger comfort is enhanced with over 4 inches of additional legroom and an extra inch of headroom in the third row, ensuring a luxurious experience for all occupants.

Cutting-Edge Technology
The Escalade IQL continues Cadillac’s tradition of innovation, featuring a striking 55-inch curved pillar-to-pillar infotainment display for a personalized, immersive driving experience. It supports voice control, navigation, and custom graphics tailored to the Escalade IQL.

Seating for up to seven, a standard AKG 4 Studio 21-speaker audio system (with optional upgrades to 42 speakers), Dolby Atmos® for premium sound, and a standard Super Cruise® hands-free driving assist system further exemplify its advanced tech suite. Connectivity options include 5G Wi-Fi®, HD streaming, browser capabilities, and vehicle-to-home (V2H) bidirectional charging, providing both convenience and energy management on the go.

Power and Performance
With an estimated range of up to 460 miles, the Escalade IQL ensures ample endurance for long journeys. Fast-charging capabilities deliver up to 116 miles of range in only 10 minutes at public DC Fast Charging stations. Its 205 kWh GM battery underpins impressive performance metrics: a 0-60 mph time in 4.7 seconds, 750 horsepower, and 785 lb-ft of torque. The vehicle also boasts a max towing capacity of 7,500 pounds and offers Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 and Air Ride Adaptive suspension for smooth, controlled rides.

Pricing and Availability
The Escalade IQL will be available globally, including North America, with production beginning at GM’s Factory ZERO plant in Detroit in mid-2025. It will be offered in four trims—Luxury, Sport, Premium Luxury, and Premium Sport—with a starting MSRP of $164,332 (excluding taxes, fees, and dealer charges).

A Future-Driven Icon
Since its debut over 25 years ago, the Cadillac Escalade has become a symbol of luxury and performance, with over 1 million units sold worldwide. The introduction of the all-electric Escalade IQL positions the franchise at the forefront of innovation, blending heritage with sustainability and modern technological advancements.
